25 years ago, Picnic founder Mikael Swanljung realised his dream: a lunch café where the workers are treated well and the customers get to enjoy delicious, genuine and fresh flavours.
Today, 25 years later, Picnic is still a Finnish family company and has become one of the biggest ‘fast casual’ lunch café chains in Finland.
The central idea of Picnic’s growth story has stayed the same in spite of the world and flavours around it changing. We still offer food that is made in-house and always fresh and delicious. The range of flavours is carefully considered whether it is Finnish potato, French croissant or American cheesecake.
Along with our classic dishes, we also believe strongly in seasonal and wellness thinking. Our lunch soups offer seasonal vegetables and we start the morning with fresh yoghurt, porridge and smoothies.
In 2016, we will celebrate by taking you on a journey around the world and delighting you with new flavours and stories.
